Child Protection Policy

WE CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS

Every year we work with two million children and young people around the world through our schools and educational projects. This number rises to nine million if we also include those children and young people we work with indirectly through exams and cultural projects.

Every child is important to us, and we want to ensure that we value, respect and provide for all our students. We realize that well-being is extremely important and that everyone has the right to be protected from all forms of violence and mistreatment.

The staff and partners of Small Talk are committed to caring for the protection of children and young people.

We want our students to feel safe at Small Talk. Therefore, we strive to:

  • listen to their opinions,
  • select the most professional staff members who meet all requirements related to child protection,
  • provide safety advice to children, parents or guardians,
  • promote the principles of equality regardless of a person's background, religion, age, ability or social status. We are all equal and have the right to feel safe and protected.

If you are concerned about a situation, everyone at Small Talk is ready to listen and assist you.

Small Talk Policy Against Bullying

If you witness or are a victim of bullying, tell your teacher.

Bullying can consist of:

  • hurling insults
  • deliberately excluding a person from a group
  • spreading rumors
  • taking things that are not your own without permission
  • kicking, pushing, hitting
  • saying unpleasant things
  • sending malicious text messages
  • using the Internet to intimidate
  • and many other manifestations of aggression

Bullying can be defined as intentional, repeated, hurtful behavior against people who cannot defend themselves.

THE BULLYER wants you to be afraid. DON'T LET HIM DO IT.

Small Talk takes the problem of violence very seriously.

  • It is very important to us that Small Talk students learn with joy.
  • We are always eager to hear feedback about our courses.
  • We promise to investigate every problem thoroughly, discreetly and fairly.

If you are a victim or witness of violence be sure to tell your parents, teacher or any other employee of our organization.

DON'T HIDE IT. TELL YOUR PARENTS, TEACHER OR COLLEAGUES. STAND UP TO THE PERSECUTOR.

If any of your colleagues are being harmed, we want you to tell us. You will show support to your colleagues, as well as the strength of your character.
